Pop the question. Why would you say that for anything besides getting married? Credo didn't know. It just sounded good in his head. But still, the blush on his face thought otherwise. His cheeks were as pink as peaches right about now and only getting worse. His finger nervously raced around the rim of his glass. He stopped, the thought of tipping the glass itself over coming to mind. That would be twice the embarrassment, wasting alcohol all over himself like a helpless drunk. Even thought he was nowhere near that point. But he didn't want to come off that way either.
"I can't afford to be picky," the human said, "except green apples. I hate those." Credo sniggered a little. It seemed getting West to like green apples, just a little, would be highly improbable. But it didn't mean he couldn't make a goal out of it. And if he couldn't make West see the greatness that is green apples, then... then... Well Credo didn't think that far yet.
"Of course I'm being serious!" West protested. "You have to take things seriously, otherwise you'll end up in some alleyway halfway across town, completely naked and utterly stoned." That did not, and would not ever happen to Credo. But the thought of putting himself in such a situation made him wrinkle his nose with disgust. Of course he was smart enough not to literally put himself in the shoes of someone who would do such a thing. But still it was a dreadful thought he'd prefer to keep out of his mind at the moment.
Then again, West had a valid point. About everything. Life was too short to be picky, for humans. Especially this time and age. When survival was key. The last thing you would want to be thinking about is a girlfriend or boy friend. Or both. If your that kind of person. Even if you were quite well. There are still people that want to take you down even if they dont even know you. People lie. People cheat. People steal. They take lives and only think about the reward behind it. Murder in cold blood and you get a paycheck for it. However its been like that for ages. Even before the aftermath of the war. Even before man realized what he was in for when it came about. Demons and humans are similar, yet worlds apart. Humans only lived 80 to 100 years. Sometimes even more if they take good care of their bodies from the start. But demons could live for thousands of years. So could vampires. And fae. Maybe even werewolves. A humans body is but a shell of flesh. Dense and heavy yes, but not invincible. A demon could take 100x the torture any human could ever withstand. Vampires, Werewolves, and Fae were no different. All in all, the humans were at the very bottom of the food chain while the other races fight to knock off the next weakest link. Humans are not cherished. They are not cared for like other races care for their own. Yes there is strength in numbers. Even for man. But still. A human is but a shell. Frail and weak in these times. Compared to the other races.
However, Credo could look past the vast differences in himself and West. Credo as always open minded. Never closing out what he did not understand. He is always hungry for more knowledge it seemed. Books weren't his thing though. Credo is a visual and vocal learner. He learns better with example and words then writing on thin pieces of paper. Reading for him is like trying to teach a kinder gardener calculus with only a pen. He just can't sit there and read the entire day like some people. He would rather go out and learn it himself. With his own eyes and ears. That is why Credo is one of the best friends someone could have. He will always love you for you and not because you may have something he wants. Seeing as he prefers the 5-finger cash method rather than working for it himself, that doesnt always apply. Loop holes, if you will. But if he liked you he liked you and you would easily gain his trust. That is, until you do something unforgivably immoral. Killing really didn't phase him. It was more of betrayal that really got under his skin.
But at the end of the day, West was a good guy. And Credo has done nothing more than enjoy his company this fine night. If West was serious about getting into something with Credo, then he would follow through full suit.
Downing the last of his drink, he tossed West a look with an arched brow and smug smile. "Well Mr. LemonLime. Are you sure you want to tangle yourself up with a demon of all things?" he said jokingly. Credo knew well that his troubles weren't nearly as large as West's. And that he would be in for quite the exciting life with his if he were to follow West. . W . E . S . T . l . e . e .
West grinned his typical Cheshire grin as Credo started blushing. "Awww, I thought you were Mr. Tough Guy," he said. "You're pinker than a strawberry, really. And you said that I could blush..." It was funny, but he didn't think of the demon as a blusher. That was more of West's department -- or so he had been told countless times. As strong-willed as he was, the human was more effeminate than even some of his girlfriends.
"Well Mr. LemonLime," the demon said, "are you sure you want to tangle yourself up with a demon of all things?" West didn't reply immediately, instead running his finger around the rim of his glass, wetting it, then drawing little circles on the wood. He wasn't delaying answering, just being idle and enjoying sitting in a bar with a friend like Credo. First, West finished a series of hearts, followed by a rather blobby elephant. He finished up with a flower, then turned to face his friend.
The question had been asked playfully, but for some reason that even he could not quite explain, West answered seriously. "No." He brought his glass up to his lips, downing a half of it quickly. The alcohol burned his throat and he made a little face, ruffling his hair while he thought. He wasn't the kind of person to be sure of anything or anyone besides himself and his own abilities. This life was crazy, and he could afford to keep other people close. Nothing ever seemed to go right, and West had to be ready to betray his acquaintances or to retaliate when they betrayed him.
He was, however, quick to fall in love, and once his loyalty was given to someone, they could not break it. The kind of friend to always be there when you needed them most, West was mysterious and aloof but put his heart and soul into every relationship he had. Part of him wished that Credo would just get drunk already because everything was easier to manage when one was drunk. Based on where he ended up tomorrow morning, West would have a pretty good idea of where things stood.
Looking at Credo, he smiled wanly. He could feel the strong drink already affecting him a little. After disregarding this and finishing the glass, he said, "Your turn to finish yours. It's only fair if we drink the same amount." Then he paused. "I think the question is better ignored. Don't think. Don't plan. Don't... analyze. Don't -- I want another drink. Bartender!" He flagged down the man behind the bar -- which wasn't hard, since he was just a few feet away -- and slid his empty glass over. Wordlessly, the man refilled it and passed it back.
He didn't plan anything. That was his modus operandi: never plan, never think, just act. It was a blessing and a curse at the same time, but West's nature didn't allow for much in-depth analysis. To be honest, he didn't want to think about Credo and what he was doing by involving himself with the demon because he would probably realize it was a bad idea. All the same, he didn't give a damn. West just wanted to enjoy the night and let what would happen, happen.
"Let's talk about something happy, 'kay?" The tone of his voice had brightened considerably. "The point of this is to get drunk, so let's do so with something fun! I have just the thing." West waggled his eyebrows up and down, looking very childish as he did so. He had a game in mind, one of the old classic drinking games: Never Have I Ever. Whether Credo would be up for it or not, he didn't know. However, it seemed like it killed two birds with one stone by letting them get drunk and get to know each other at the same time. "How does Never Have I Ever sound?" he asked. "You can start if you want."

His face was still flaring up pink like a peach. And it didn't take West long to notice it. Which made Credo blush even more at the comment he made. He didn't like it when he blushed. Although it was natural, Credo was shy when it came to intimate things such as this. He had never had a relationship with a human before. They were always afraid when they figured out what he really was. Demons were always characterized by other races as wicked and evil creatures with an insane bloodlust to match. That was not true. There were more demons in the world that wanted to fight and kill than demons that wanted to just live peacefully in solitude on a farm in Maine, yes. But that was just a general assumption. Credo was once one of those bloodlusting demons. However he prefers to not reminisce in those days for too long. However, Wests answer to Credo's earlier question made him uneasy. A simple and plain "No". It bothered Credo because he couldn't read the emotion behind it. Usually he could tell by body language or tone of voice very well what someone was thinking. But the alcohol was hindering that ability. He hoped he hadn't done anything to change West's mind about their moving to some higher level with their relationship. Credo was a strong person when it came to that thing called "love". He would give his everything to make that special someone happy. But he was easily hurt when it came down to disagreements. So one could assume he was the "strong softy" in the relationship. However he did know when to take charge and stand up for himself. He hated being pushed around and he wasn't about to let another man run his life. Not that West was that type. He didn't seem like it. And that's another reason why Credo was ever so interested in him.
By the time he was getting down to the half-way point with his glass, he was always feeling slightly silly. "Your turn to finish yours. It's only fair if we drink the same amount." West said, "I think the question is better ignored. Don't think. Don't plan. Don't... analyze. Don't -- I want another drink. Bartender!" the human continued, clearly affected by the alcohol as well. Credo giggled out of pure silliness and the alcohol as well. He finished his drink and received his next go around. "Pfft... your getting silly Mr. LemonLime." the demon said, his words slightly slurring. West got another round as well. "Let's talk about something happy, 'kay?" he said, grinning childishly at Credo. Credo tapped a finger on his chin, thinking. "I like... cats..." the words seemed to spill out with a pause in the middle. "Dogs are-", a hiccup stopping him in mid-sentence until he continued, "Stupid.". Credo was clearly a silly drunk. He was able to maintain his balance while walking, but his fingers became slathered in imaginary butter. He often dropped things and giggled while staring at his fail on the floor, whatever he dropped. Hopefully he wouldn't derp and drop his drink or something. West offered to play a game of some sort. Credo wasn't very familiar with the game of Never have I. In fact, this would be the first time he ever acknowledged the game at all. . W . E . S . T . l . e . e . Cocking his head to the side, West studied Credo's blushing face with mock seriousness. After a minute of deliberation, he decided that he was cute when he blushed, and said so. "It's kind of cute," the human said with a shrug. "Kind of makes me want to kiss you again."
"Pfft... your getting silly Mr. LemonLime." It seemed to be that it was Credo got silly when he was drunk. That was good: it was hard to deal with people if they clammed up after a few drinks. West himself wasn't very predictable -- sometimes he got silly, sometimes he got very serious, and sometimes he just stayed the same. The way things were going, however, he was probably going to be giggling all night long. Hopefully, he thought, I won't do anything too stupid.
He didn't actually know what 'anything too stupid' consisted of. In fact, he couldn't think of anything that would even come close to falling under that category. Ending up in an awkward situation with Credo would have been one, except that West was wholeheartedly hoping that it would happen. Traveling on his own got so incredibly lonely, so even if he never saw the demon again after this, he wanted to enjoy some time together.
"I like... cats... Dogs are--" The human laughed as Credo hiccuped halfway through the sentence. That was one thing he was glad he didn't do when he was drunk. "-- stupid." It was funny to see a demon, one of the creatures whose race had deposed humans and killed thousands, drunk and silly. But West didn't really think of Credo as a demon, and he hoped that he didn't think of him as a human. Thinking along those lines would ruin things before they ever got started.
West giggled. "Don't tell me you're drunk already," he said, aware of the fact that his own words were starting to sound a little weird. "Yeah... dogs are stupid. Cats are so cute. I can't--" He paused, looking for the word. "--resist. Just so cute!"
His opinion was slightly biased by the fact that dogs were frequently employed by his enemies to both hunt him down and attack him, which gave him a bad impression of them, but pretty much everyone had some kind of prejudice against something in the world. One of his just happened to be dogs.
As the demon asked how to play the game, West mimicked shock. "You don't know? Ah... it's like this..." He suppressed another little giggle and took a large swallow from his glass. "I say something I've never done. If you've done it, take a drink. Then you go. See?" He nodded to himself, smiling. "Easy-peasy. Guess I'll st--" West swallowed a mouthful of his drink. "--start. Never have I ever, uh, been to Asia."
That was true, and a little obvious. He hadn't ever had the money to get over there. That continent was so huge that it was expensive to get from one place to another. Also, he hadn't ever gone because he didn't know anyone there. Picking up his glass and swirling his drink around inside, watching the little bubbles that formed there, he waited for an answer from Credo, wondering what the reply would be.

Credo ran his finger about the edge of the cold glass. He had a slight problem with keeping it from running off the edge now that the vodka and tequila settled down into his system. "It's kind of cute," Credo looked up, turning his attention back to West. "Kind of makes me want to kiss you again." he said, the side of Credo's mouth already rising into a smug grin. "Oh really, Mr.LemonLime...?" he said retaining the slurring of words from a few minutes ago, "Nothing's stopping you. the demon finished, his tone of voice was challenging. He took another big sip from his drink. Credo could literally feel himself slipping from sober to silly drunk mode. It was a great feeling. It was always good to just let go once in a while. "Don't tell me you're drunk already," West continued, giggling, "Yeah... dogs are stupid. Cats are so cute. I can't--" He paused, "--resist. Just so cute!" Credo took another swig of his drink and slammed the glass on the counter. "I swear to drunk I am not god!" Before he realized that he had mixed words up and put them in places they shouldn't be, it was too late and he was already giggling like mad at himself. He ended it with a content sigh before he took another sip. West went on to explain how to play the game of Never Have I. It sounded like fun and Credo nodded his head, showing his interest. West started, "Never have I ever, uh, been to Asia." Credo promptly took a sip. His trip to Asia wasn't all that enjoyable, but he had visited there once before. On business for The Morrigan. His job was to collect intel on the whereabouts and activities of other races there. He was ordered to also look for a suitable place to set up another base in the even that the current Greece HQ was ever infiltrated and their plans were found out. Of course, that never happened. But that didn't mean it wouldn't. Credo just wouldn't have to deal with it this time around. It was Credo's turn now. He thought of something both of them have done. Bingo, he had something. "Never have I thought of taking one of those shiny, expensive decorations in Dimitri's house, hehe..." Dimitri did have some nice stuff in that house he brought the two too. Everything was clean and pristine. Perfectly settled and not a spec of dust anywhere. It probably had several floors including a wine seller at the bottom. Expensive indeed. West and Credo both loved money. So there was no doubt in his mind that West had too thought of whisking something away and selling it for some extra pocket change. . W . E . S . T . l . e . e . "Oh really, Mr.LemonLime...?" As the challenge was made, West's eyebrows shot up, but not out of surprise. Both he and Credo were getting progressively more and more drunk, and, really, anything could happen, especially since they had started the night off with a kiss (albeit an unplanned one). He was just pleased that the demon wasn't objecting to the idea.
West was a polite young man -- surprisingly so, given all the trouble humans were in thanks to demons, werewolves, and the like -- but he liked to have his way in everything. That was just one side effect of running his own life: he was used to being in control of everything that happened to him. Other factors, such as other people, threw that balance off some. But instead of finding it annoying, as West sometimes did, he was quite enjoying the unpredictability of another person.
Had he been anyone else, several things would have probably occurred to West by now. Actually, many things would have occurred to him by now, things that would probably have saved him a whole lot of heartache, but only several things pertaining to his and Credo's potential relationship would have presented themselves. One, that this game they were playing was incredibly dangerous for both of them. Two, that they'd probably never see each other again. Three, that they were drunk and not thinking clearly. And, four, that he really wasn't even sure who Credo was, and what little he did know didn't bode well for the future. However, he was Weston Mark Lee, and he didn't think things through like that.
He did, however, like to be coy, so though Credo made it very clear that he wouldn't have any problem with it, he just winked knowingly and took another draught of whatever it was that he was drinking. The demon would get his kiss, but a little later, when West could make it seem like it was his idea and not Credo's. Several times over the course of the years he had gotten in trouble for playing this game with people, and several times he had nearly died. However, the human supposed the worst that could happen now was that the demon kissed him instead of the other way around.
West smiled as the demon protested, "I swear to drunk I am not god!" Giggling quietly, he grabbed his glass and took a large swallow, enjoying the burning of the alcohol against his throat much more than he had to start out with. "Right, and I'm the governor of Texas. Wait -- I think actually -- hmm, that's interesting." He started laughing harder, though he didn't know why. "Can't -- can't -- can't remember whether I won that bet or not... Must've been too drunk."
"Never have I thought of taking one of those shiny, expensive decorations in Dimitri's house, hehe..." This made West snicker quietly. "Liar," he complained, but took a drink anyways. "I know I saw you eyeing some of those shiny-sparkly-lighty-uppy things he's got scattered around the whole damn house." As the sentence started to escape him, the human waved his hands demonstratively, not really sure what he was getting out with the 'lighty-uppy things'. Then he shrugged. "Fine. As long as we're lying..." West said, words a little slurred.
Jumping off the edge of his barstool, not waiting for any permission, he grinned manically and crossed the small distance between them with one step. He leaned forward and murmured, "Never have I ever wanted to do this." West kissed Credo full on the mouth -- and this time, he didn't pull away.

That last bit was probably one of the biggest lies he'd ever told. When Credo saw shiny things, he was inclined to take them. Being a five finger discount maniac, that was the obvious. And it was also obvious that West had saw right through that lie of his. It made him giggle a bit at West's ability to point such things out in this state. But the next thing, it never occurred to Credo that it would happen so soon again. "Fine. As long as we're lying...", West said before slipping off the bar stool and advancing closer to the demon. "Never have I ever wanted to do this.", he said as he leaned in and closed the gap between the two faces. Their lips met once again tonight, and this time Credo was not shy. He was not embarrassed and turning red in the face. He was not afraid anyone might see. None of those thoughts could push their way through what was happening right now.
He certainly was happy that West would make another move. It was clear Credo wanted it that way, and he was impressed West was still willing to go with it. It'd been a long while since his lips touched another's. Credo had almost forgotten what it was like to kiss. To be in something like this. He knew very well his friends-- Ex-friends, and Ast would never approve of this. But he didn't care. Credo want this. He wanted West to always be this close to him. He wanted it even though he didn't know a thing about West's past up until now. He didn't know anything about what he'd done, who he had probably killed. But no one ever said Credo preferred the quiet, good boy type. Mary-sues. It was clear West was different from anyone Credo had ever met. And far more different than anyone else he would ever meet.
Credo had lived in a world full of usual. He was used to judgmental glares and prying eyes. He was used to hearing the whispers as he walked by. During the time of his servitude under The Morrigan, people would spread rumors about his accomplishments. They would envy him so much they wanted to bring him down, twisting the truth about him into something it was not. But they knew they could never lay a finger on him under the protection of The Morrigan. He knew it. Therefore he learned to smile in the presence of a snake. He learned to shrug it off and disregard their malicious rumor spreading among themselves. And he learned to laugh them down when confronted by the fools in person. Credo had developed a tolerance for this sort of thing. He knew the ups and downs of his actions, and he knew how to read a person so well, he'd somewhat know what sort of response he'd get in turn way before they knew themselves. Being the eyes, sword, and shield of Mother War taught Credo how to study these things and learn everything he possibly could. Not just for his well-being, but for his employer's well-being. He would be the same to West if he should allow it.
But alas, Credo was still lost in this amazing kiss he and West shared. Notes: Aww! <3 Tagged: Wessst! Words: 543 Credit: TAPER JEAN GIRL ! z10.invisionfree.com/CAUTIONTOTHEWIND/index.php?showuser=17680

. W . E . S . T . l . e . e . The kiss seemed to last forever.
West was by no means a child, nor was he innocent in any way. He had kissed plenty of girls and plenty of boys in his time and he was intending to kiss plenty more. But this was different. If he could have stayed there forever, frozen time in that one spot indefinitely, he would have. Credo didn't seem embarrassed this time by the kiss, so West wasn't either. He tangled his hands in the demon's wonderful hair.
It had been so long since anyone had gotten close to him. One thing he liked most about Credo was the fact that he didn't have to know every detail of his life in order to like him. West fell in love fast and hard, but he was rarely ever able to show someone his other side. Part of him just had to be secretive. On top of that, keeping his true feelings and identity hidden was so ingrained in his routine that he found it difficult to break it.
He knew that, in every relationship, there was something that each person was giving and something that each person was looking for. That being said, he didn't know what the demon wanted from him. He also didn't care. All West knew was that he himself needed a respite from the loneliness of his life. For so long, he had had to keep away from people, spending one night here and another there, ducking and dodging danger as he made a name for himself in the world. All of his family had been left behind when he came to Europe; all of his friends and lovers were left behind when he was forced to move on.
But Credo was different. Demons weren't shunned in this chaotic world, nor were they helpless. West wanted to keep him safe and to keep him close, but he knew that Credo was smart enough to take care of himself. For once, the human would not have to protect his loved ones because they could protect themselves.
West was willing to tear down cities to get to his loved ones should they be in danger. He hoped Credo knew that. He hoped Credo wouldn't be the type to blame him when his mood swings hit and he was left sad and listless or got angry about the smallest things. He hoped that they wouldn't fall apart the way these things so often did.
At last, though he didn't want it to end, he pulled away gently, smiling. There wasn't anything for even him to say after that. West usually couldn't be shut up once he got himself going, but he was actually quiet in nature and tone, though people often forgot that. This was one of the times where he had no words, just a really big grin.
It may have been that other people in the bar were giving them odd looks -- the bartender certainly was. West knew that he reeked of humans and Credo of demons, which would have made them an odd couple even in a normal world. But he didn't worry, only moved to sit back in his chair and take another drink from his glass. What happened now was up to the demon; West wasn't going to push for anything. He was perfectly content to sit in the bar and drink for the rest of the evening. It was Credo's choice.

West was the one to end the kiss, Credo was too lost in it to notice everyone giving them strange looks. He grinned, resting his elbow on the bar and his the side of his head in his hand as he did so. That was the best kiss Credo ever had with a guy. Most guys were shy and Credo was almost always the one making the moves. "Its a shame you kiss better than every chick I've ever dated, Mr. LemonLime." the demon said, the slur in his voice replaced with a completely interested tone with a moment's pause before he used West's still very new nickname. Credo finished the remainder of his drink, and placed the cup down again. He started to take more and more notice to how attracted he was to West in such a short time span. It seemed like the two had only just met, like they were silly teenagers moving too fast. But it was like Credo was bothered by this at all. Because he wasn't. He wanted to get to know West more. And he wanted this thing between them to stay and grow. He wanted to get closer to West so they could both help each other fill that empty void they both had. He could tell West had a somewhat lonely life. And Credo did too. Credo was always moving from place to place. Shifting from form to form. Sometimes intentional and sometimes entirely unintentional. But since they were both frequent movers, they would help each other get along just nicely, Credo thought. Aside from that, both had something the other needed. Credo had the ability to shift forms and fill in the many holes that come with moving about. West had an amazing way with words and convincing people. Better than Credo anyway. All together, they both would work well together. Another quality West had was that he knew how to laugh. Credo loved to make people laugh and to have a good laugh himself. That isn't exactly easy when your always alone. Credo could venture to guess West enjoyed laughing too. And probably pranks. Oh yes, Credo used to prank his heart out when he was much younger. Of course, he got into his fair share of fights with those who took the joke too seriously. Alas, Credo had finally found someone worth the trouble. And he liked Credo back. That was enough to make Credo happy and ready to move as fast as West wanted. Credo felt, that with West, he could achieve better things. Things that could help him bury his dark past. A past he didn't want West to know about. But sooner or later, West would probably ask. And Credo was a horrible liar sometimes. He was afraid that West would see him differently if he were to know about his service under The Morrigan. She was a huge figure in today's society after all. So very feared that people were afraid to utter her name. They feared that she could send her minions in a ran of fire upon their very homes at any moment. But Credo knew she could do no such thing. The Morrigan had eyes and ears everywhere yes, but that didn't mean all information was important to her. And also, not all information made it back to her. Alive. . W . E . S . T . l . e . e . "Its a shame you kiss better than every chick I've ever dated, Mr. LemonLime." Credo grinned, leaning into his palm as he spoke. West let his eyes wander over the demon; eye candy was nice every once in a while. There was something about the tone of interest in his voice that sent shivers down the human's spine. It was something about the thrill of a taboo love that did it to him, West decided. He just had to have what he shouldn't.
Too much time had passed since he had last loved someone, he told himself, and there was no reason whatsoever that he couldn't rectify that here and now with Credo. It wasn't like anything was stopping him -- sure, there was the fact that he was a human and his crush was a demon and that it was pretty much suicide to get involved with each other because there were a billion people who wanted each of them dead. Not that either of them cared. That was life, and they were both strong enough and confident enough and smart enough to survive, both for their own sake and for the other's.
"A shame?" West lifted an eyebrow, feigning surprise as best as he could in a half-drunk state. "I would think," he said softly, "it would be more of an... advantage." He shrugged, in a 'who-needs-girls' kind of way, then leaned up against the bar and mimicked Credo's position, his cheek and chin resting gently in the palm of his hand. The human let his eyes wander freely; no part of him was ever in check. That was just who he was, and it was nice to finally have met someone that seemed to appreciate that.
It was really no use speculating about why he liked Credo or what he thought he could gain from the relationship anymore because West was too far past the point of thinking. He hadn't been thinking that much in the first place, for that matter; he never did. The demon was much more of a thinker than he was, West sensed. That was good: they complimented each other.
Something occurred to West. It was probably best if they didn't stay in the bar much longer, given the way things were going. People were already staring, and the human had no interest in getting his new love ostracized because they were indiscreet. West was hasty, not unintelligent. He knew what could happen and he wouldn't allow it to, not over his dead body.
He reached over and grabbed Credo by the collar, pulling him towards the door, smiling like a child who had just discovered an important secret. "Come on then, Mr. Sushi," West said, "let's find somewhere else to continue our conversation."

Credo noticed that West was mimicking his way of sitting. It was rather interesting that the human had took such a liking him so quickly. And he wasn't afraid to show it either. Credo could feel the humans eyes scan everything about him. And he simply smiled and let it be. He wasn't much of an attention-hog, but tonight he didn't mind at all.
West spoke again with a brow raised and shrugged, "A shame? I would think," he said softly, "It would be more of an... advantage." Credo snickered a bit at West's comment, as true as it was. "You have a point there," the demon said while running a hand through his chestnut hair. This time it wasn't of anxiety. More so him showing off, which was quite a rarity. "But its a shame not because of the fact that you're a guy. But the fact that girls are 'supposed' to be better at that. Guess you proved that wrong, Mr. LemonLime..." he finished with a smirk crawling across his face as he finished his sentence. He started to notice the strange looks the two were again getting. It didn't bother him as much before, but now it was almost unbearable. A feeling of anxiety washed over him briefly. Credo just concluded it was the alcohol making him overreact and shrugged it off. It seemed West noticed as well, it wasn't just Credo. Its was obvious not many people supported these sort of relationships. But it wasn't like Credo was worried about what they thought. He didn't even know these people. Nor did he care to. He was worried about what would happen if his ex-comrades would think if they saw him flaunting around in some bar. Then again, that life was behind him. far behind him. It was suppose to be anyway. But it always fought its way back out of the back of his mind. Credo preferred not the think about it nor bring it up to other people. In fear of what they might think of him. No matter what connections you've ever had with The Morrigan, be it direct or indirect, people always seemed to curse you for it. Like a jinx or something. At least that's what Credo gathered from some of the reactions he's seen. But he knew if he ever told West in full detail about everything about him, that West wouldn't abandon or try his darnest to avoid Credo. West was much more open-minded than that it seemed. Before he knew it, Credo was being dragged off by the collar by West up and out of the doors of the bar. He snickered smugly, "Lucky for you I know a place we can be alone..." he said before taking the lead on the way to the suite he had paid for before going out tonight. . W . E . S . T . l . e . e . THE NEXT DAY
In the dream, it was dark outside. Not a nighttime kind of dark, but the sort of dark that falls when clouds cover up the sun. But, inside the suite -- West couldn't recall having seen it before -- it was bright. He was reading a book, which was out of character for him, and there was a fire. There were plenty of sweets. It was nice, he mused, just sitting there, reading and eating candy. There hadn't been enough time for relaxation in recent days. The dream went on like that for a while. Finally, he opened his eyes slowly, reluctant to leave behind the happy dream. West got up out of bed, yawning and stretching like a cat, feeling stiff everywhere. His head hurt like hell -- the human concluded he must have gotten drunk at some point in time, although he couldn't quite recall when. He wondered exactly what he had been doing last night. Most of it was blurry. It had started off well enough, he supposed, although he had been hungry. Most of the money he had had gone to getting him back to France and making sure his enemies weren't alerted. A little voice in the back of West's fuzzy mind told him he had had sushi for dinner. Oh. Sushi. Now he remembered. Credo had bought him dinner at the sushi place and-- Credo. Reluctantly, the human looked to his left. There the demon was, asleep, looking so sweet and innocent. Memories of the night before slowly came back to him, and as they did, the urge to run away before Credo awoke got stronger. "Shit," West muttered. "Not where I expected to wake up." With a sigh, he lay back down in bed, head pounding, watching Credo from the corner of his eye. He could definitely remember why he felt so strongly about the demon: he was handsome and clever and generally perfect. What Credo made of him, he had no memory, but obviously it had been something similar, since they had gone to sleep in the same bed in the demon's apartment or hotel room or whatever it was. What did that make them, then? Boyfriends? Lovers? Obviously those had sounded like good options to them last night, but West found he was having second thoughts. He didn't know Credo well enough to predict what the demon would do when he woke up to find a human in his bed. He didn't know what he himself would do once he had to leave France, since he couldn't bear leaving his loved ones behind -- and, strange and sudden as it was, he could definitely say he loved Credo.
