. when he dropped his glamour, she couldn't help but stare. if she thought he was good looking before, he was damn good looking now. his robe dropped revealing a well muscled bare chest. her face flamed momentarily before her embarrassment vanished. he had wings now and they were interesting. while hers were very visible, his were almost transparent. she smiled to him getting close enough that her feathers brushed him, but she disappeared after that. he had moves. she would give him that. though she wasn't really surprised considering he was fairly old. appearing in front of him, she twirled her staff aiming the hit him wherever she could. the attacks weren't entirely hard, but this time she stayed still. allowing her body to move and flow, the feathers seeming to make it easier.
. he commented on her outfit and a light blush crossed over her as she tried to keep from going completely red. "don't you think? I usual don't wear clothes when I drop my glamour because they tend to get a bit snug." leigh winked to him, moving the staff towards his side. "it seems to be a bit constricting don't you think?" her voice held a light air about it as she move back and pulled at the string of her kimono. it dropped to the floor revealing a rather skimpy outfit. it left very little to the imagination as the clothing was made up of straps covering the bare bits. as much as she didn't want to look like a whore, the kimono was really getting uncomfortable and she didn't want to rip it. leigh gave herself a little shake as if ruffling nonexistent feathers.
. singyo gave a small cry. he always loved when she dropped her glamour. leigh assumed it was because he actually liked her, but she didn't mind. maintaining her stance in front of him, she moved this way and that letting the staff hit at him. the blows weren't hard but they seemed very fluid and controlled. she stayed putting being careful as to not letting her wings get in the way. it wasn't that she couldn't control them it was that she didn't want to blind him in the fight. that wouldn't be very fair of her. a few white feathers had fallen on the floor and danced about with the wind. her smile never faded as she let the staff take on a mind of it's own. this was relaxing for her. ever so relaxing because it let her get out any anger she had. the students knew when she was having a bad day because her hits would always be harder and stronger. [/u] ----------------------------------------- He caught the look on her face and grinned, the blur of the staff in his hand solidifying once again. Of course, they were both Fae, so the appearance of their respective true forms wouldn't have quite the same effect as it would on a mortal, but it still altered their perceptions of each other somewhat, for whatever that meant. Then she was close to him, he could feel her feathers brushing on his skin, tickling slightly. The next second, she was gone, then back again, her staff coming in. He laughed, then spun the staff to one hand, his other hand shooting out, gently redirecting the strikes. The calluses on his palms protected him from most of the contact, allowing him to catch and release her staff. It wasn't exactly easy, and he wouldn't have been able to do it had she truly been letting the blows fly, but she wasn't, so his hand sufficed. He leaned on his staff slightly, allowing it to bear some of his weight while he concentrated on blocking.
She stepped back however, and stared incredulously at her as she spoke. Gods...was she flirting with him? It certainly seemed so. He certainly hoped so. She was blushing though, so she still wasn't completely comfortable with it. Neither was he, the embarrassment was still there, and his face gained several shades of red as the kimono dropped away. He swallowed hard, trying to keep his eyes from going to all the wrong places. Or all the right places, depending on who you asked. "I see what you mean...", he said, voice tight with half-controlled embarrassment. Blinking, he shook himself, and the redness in his cheeks faded slightly. "That outfit is certainly...hmm...less constricting." For the first two strikes after she dropped the kimono, he was still distracted enough that her blows him him squarely in the chest. He didn't even seem to notice, finally shaking himself and moving the staff in a proper block of the next swing.
Cahir moved faster now, his hands and arms a blur as the staff swung from block to block, occasionally snaking out for a quick strike. Then his legs began to moved, and he shifted like flowing water, smooth and sinuous, muscles tight and rippling beneath the skin.He took the offensive now, all but forgetting about blocking, sidestepping and avoiding instead. His grin came back, and for a few moments, all he could hear was the resounding clack of wood on wood as the staves came together again and again. He continued like this, enjoying the fight for a few minutes, relaxing into an irregular tempo, his movements becoming even more erratic, adding short rushes and hops, the staff always sliding around his body to strike. Then, suddenly, after one blow, he slid towards her, blurring slightly. His staff held back, and he took two strikes on his arm, but kept coming. mere feet from her, he shot forward, hand pushing her staff aside as he spun past, lips brushing the skin of her neck under her earlobe momentarily before his feet carried him past, still grinning, staff returning to the ready position. "Sorry, Leigh..." He said, his tone making it all too clear that he wasn't actually sorry, a flirtatious smile hovering at the corner of his mouth. "But when I see a face like yours...sometimes, I just can't resist."

. the redness seemed to fade from her and now she was just having fun. being in her true form did have a few disadvantages. her instincts and wants became more primal so to speak. she could control this very easily but still it was like an itch that you couldn't scratch. the wind seemed to dance around her as the sparred. leigh's staff met with his and the gentle clacks seemed to be the only sound in the room. well that and the occasional Singyo caw. he seemed to be distracted by her outfit and that made her grin. maybe she could use this to her advantage.
. moving like the flowing water outside, she met his staff with hers. she was surprised to see him blocking with his hand. though it made her realize that had she been going full out he would be in trouble. she had good skills and it was nice to see that they were actually there. she continued to do battle with him. moving her staff this way and that, she tried to hit him every now and then. she could tell through the windows that the sun was starting to set. there was a pretty glow of purple and orange in the room. she was lost in the fight, her mind was so focused on the fight. she didn't even notice what he was doing until his lips brushed against her neck. leigh's face immediately went red and she swung her staff at him a little harder than she should have. the contact threw her off balance and she fell on her butt landing with a hard thump.
. her glamour shimmered over her returning her hair to purple and her eyes to green. it was a reflex that she had and she hadn't meant to do it. the female's face was a deep red though as she looked up at him in shock. had he just? did he...? she was slightly confused as to what had just happened but she had felt his lips on her neck. sitting on the ground she could feel a cool breeze come through the room and she shivered. it was only then she realized she was completely naked. scrambling to grab her robe, she pulled it on and tied it tight. "um wow. I'm really sorry about that. you know what maybe I should go." leigh got up and felt ashamed of herself. she felt childish almost. singyo flew over and landed on her shoulder sensing her sadness and wanted to comfort her. she scratched the side of his head and turned to leave the training room. [/u] ----------------------------------------- Perhaps he had taken the flirting a little bit too far... The moment after he slid by her, her staff came from behind and smashed into his ribs, bringing a gasp of pain. That was at least one rib broken, he thought ruefully, his hand moving over the area. A bruise was already forming, and it was tender to the touch, but he could still breathe, and still move, which meant it wasn't a terrible break. It had been fun to see the look on her face, but still... He winced. Ah well, such was the price of flirting, sometimes. It wasn't the worst wound he'd received because his mind had run away from him. Plus, it wasn't a bad break, so it would likely heal in a day or so. With a grimace, he dropped the staff to the mat, listening to the soft sound of its contact before looking down at his chest. Yes, there was still a...big bruise... With a deep breath, he pushed the pain to the back of his mind. It wasn't that bad, when he wasn't moving, at least.
There had been a sound though, as the staff hit him, hadn't there? It hadn't been the muted snap of bone, either. It had been softer, but still pretty hard. Had she fallen? He turned, holding one hand to his ribs, and froze, his face burning instantly. Well... her glamour had returned, but needless to say, her kimono hadn't returned with it. He bit his lip, hard, to keep his eyes from straying, but the corners of his eyes still caught enough to send a rush of heat through him. Hurriedly, he turned back around, a drop of blood beading on his lip. He hadn't meant to distract her that badly... He had just been playing around a little. It hadn't even really been a kiss...he'd just brushed her neck really lightly...okay, it had been his lips, but... He heard her stand, and the rustle of a robe, and dared a tiny peek to make sure she was decent before he turned to face her again.
His face was burning just as brightly as hers, and it took him a moment to understand what she had said. When he did, however, he hurried across the room, blocking the exit and still biting his lip. "That was my fault..." He said, not even really daring to look at her. He didn't trust himself at all anymore. "And if anyone should go, it's me, you know. This is your dojo... I'm just being rude..." Bowing deeply, he held out the robe she had lent him. "Here... I'm really sorry about that... I didn't- I... I didn't mean to make that happen..." ----------------------------------------- Where do your feet tread?

. the female's face seemed to be a permanent red but her eyes widened when he said he wanted to leave. "no!" she blurted surprising herself. "um I mean it's fine and everything. how about we just forget about it?" she didn't want to admit that she was enjoying company. even if it was awkward company she still liked it. it wasn't everyday she got to hang out with people other than emilia and her students. for some reason emilia was always getting into trouble. the thought made her smile slightly as she took the robe back from Cahir. "look really don't worry about it. it's my fault because I forget that when I decided to wear the outfit in my faerie form that I have nothing on in my regular form." leigh smiled softly putting singyo on her arm.
. the bird hoped onto a small perch near the kitchen. outside the sky was a soft pink as the sun set. the wind blew through the open windows and rustled her hair a bit. to her surprise she hadn't broken a sweat during their fight. but she did have a lot of fun. "you know it has been a long time since I have had a battle like that. you are a great fighting." the female smiled to him as she pulled out some food and began to prepare it. just go about things like she normally would. yeah it bugged her a bit that he had seen her naked but she really didn't want to think about it. Singyo cawed and she tossed him a piece of meat. "how about you stay for dinner? my treat. other than being an awesome teacher and fighter. I make delicious food. but don't tell em because she'll make me cook for her."
. the sun had finally set and the house was lit up by candle light and magic. it wasn't super bright inside but it was bright enough to see by comfortably. the garden had taken a beautiful glow about it. the moon lit up the pond and the water lilies opened soaking in the moonlight. the breeze blew the cherry blossoms around and they landed on the water causing small ripples. it was a beautiful sight and leigh relaxed as she worked. preparing dinner, she stared out the window letting her hands work on their own. a soft smile came over her as she just let her body do the work and let the awkwardness and stress just roll out of her. "look about before don't worry about. really things like that happen and I hope you don't think I'm too weird now." the small blush returned to her face. maybe talking it out would be better then just ignoring it completely. [/u] ----------------------------------------- Cahir's face was still bright red with embarrassment, but he didn't really want to leave. He had been having fun, for the first time in a while, and that was something to be, if not celebrated, then respected, because he so rarely was able to spend so much time with people. Not to mention fighting, which was one of his true joys, though he would never actually admit that fact. Most people were too paranoid of combat to think it was honorable. That wasn't true. One on one combat was honorable, as long as both sides adhered to the rules. If one side began to cheat, if they called in more people to fight with them, then they became dishonorable. Needless to say, one never expected to fight only one demon. They were always out in force, and when traveling through their territory, one had to expect at least four at any given time if one was visible. It was an unwritten law of the world. Still, he had no hesitations about defending himself in such situations because he still retained his way of life. When things devolved into war, things became hectic. That was bad. This, though, this fight had been fun, enjoyable. He had been the one who had distracted her attention away, made her revert back to her human form... Not that it hadn't been something to see, but still...it had been his fault. Hell of a thing to forget he thought to himself, afraid to say it out loud. She had forgiven him, though, so he relaxed slightly, only then remembering the pain in his ribs.
Wincing with each step he took, he followed her out of the training room, sinking down onto the floor with a grimace. The ribs would heal, if not overnight, then by early in the morning, most likely. Until then, he'd have to bear the pain as much as he could. He'd had worse, but he'd definitely had better, too. He hadn't fought in years, so while the battle had been enjoyable, it really had taken a toll on him. He hadn't broken a sweat, but his body was a bit worse for wear, namely the broken ribs, the bruises already visible on his chest. "I'd love to stay for dinner, if you don't mind. It isn't very often that I have someone actually cook for me. Usually, I have to make do with what I can do over a campfire, unless I'm in demon territory. At those times, I generally try to keep some dried meat or biscuits with me to keep me until I leave. If you truly do make delicious food, my stomach will definitely thank you for it." He wasn't lying, either. He had eaten what could probably be counted among the most repulsive food around.
With a sigh and a distinctive wince, he sank down at the table, holding his ribs. The evening was beautiful here, he thought, the words filtering through his head without really finding a spot to rest, leaving almost as quickly as they had come. His eyes, almost unconsciously, turned to watch Leigh as she worked on the food, and he could feel himself relaxing almost immediately. There was a calming feeling to her motions, One that spoke of just how many times she had done them. The blush on his face was fading slowly, but the memory still lingered, no matter how many times he tried to push it to the back of his mind. "Think you're weird?" He said, laughing softly. "Leigh, you do realize that you are talking to the person who just kissed your neck without any reason whatsoever... I'm the weird one, and no doubt about it."

. leigh moved with fluid motion as she prepared the food. but a sound caught her noise. she turned and looked back at cahir and saw his bruising on his rubs. "holy shit! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to hit you so hard!." she paled slightly upon looking at the bruise. she left the food to cook and set slightly as she rummaged through her cabinets. she swore softly and hurried out into the training room. after a few moments, she returned with a small jar in hand. hurriedly she grabbed a kettle of hot water and poured a cup. she mixed in the powder and handed it to him as the steam turned a soft purple. "this will help heal your wounds faster. it's something I have gathered over the years." leigh pulled out a small thing of bandages and wrapped up his chest. her fingers brushed against his bare chest and she blushed slightly.
. "there you go. that will help you as well." the female smiled softly getting back up and headed back over to her partially prepared food. leigh sighed softly as she kept working. "I'm really sorry. I must have hit you harder then I thought. I am really sorry." a soft blush crossed over her and she felt even worse. great she had broken a few of his ribs. leigh moved to the stove sighing as she finished cooking their meal. once it was completely done she plated it and brought one over to him. the meal she had made was small pieces of steak that were cut intricately into the shapes of birds. there was a small pile of rice and some thin strips of vegetables. it was plated nicely and looked like the birds were flying in the sky. blushing slightly she placed the plate in front of him. "sorry I got carried away." she mumbled sitting down by him.
. leigh focused on eating for a bit letting a nice silent settle between them. it was a while before she spoke again. "please that wasn't weird I guess. it was probably an accident." she mumbled the last part softly and ate some more of her food hoping that he hadn't heard her. or maybe she did want him too. who knew anymore, but she was enjoying his company. singyo huffed from his perch and she tossed him a piece of meat. which he caught with no problem. she smiled softly as she finished off her meal and pushed her plate away from her slightly. "mmm damn I'm a good cook." the female laughed lightly to herself as she looked out the window enjoying the view she had of her garden. it truly was a beautiful place out there. Wanderer...
[/u] ----------------------------------------- Despite his continued embarrassment, he couldn't help but acquiesce to the bandaging. The drink did indeed seem to help sooth the ache the moment it hit his stomach, and he let out an audible sigh of relief as the pain faded. His cheeks barely managed to keep from flushing again as she bent down to wrap his chest, feeling her hands brush across his skin. He wasn't used to physical contact, he mused absentmindedly as he let her work. His life just hadn't had much time for such things. Or many opportunities. Traveling alone had that effect on one's social life. It ruined it, really. Which was a shame, because he really did like talking to people. And flirting with girls, but that was besides the point. That had gotten him into trouble once that day already, and he wasn't really willing to try a repeat performance. She had gotten off, physically at least, much better than he had. No bruises, no broken bones. He envied her on that point. Then again, he hadn't suddenly been naked in front of her, so they both had their respective wounds to nurse.
With a rueful grin, he felt the bandages with his hand before relaxing again, feeling the tightness around his chest. "I told you, whatever you did to me, I'm sure that I deserved it for what I did...and saw, of course" He blushed slightly, then wiped the thought away as the plate was set down before him, raising a disbelieving eyebrow at the birds on his plate. Carried away? This was a bit much even for a five star restaurant, not that there were any of those left in the world. Still, he was thankful for the brief stretch of silence, because it allowed some of the tension in the air to work away, and the food was good, much better than what he usually had.
Cahir shook his head at her words, though. "Oh...that wasn't an accident. I got caught up in the moment, and kissed your neck... It wasn't accidental..." Best to be honest, he thought with a mental grimace, even if it did end up getting him in trouble later on, and it often did. "And it is delicious food, Leigh. I have to thank you for that." He followed her gaze out the window, then looked back at her face again, studying it in the light of the dying sun, his gaze almost vacant, a distant expression on his face.

. the female blushed slightly as she grabbed his plate and hers. heading into the kitchen are, she placed them in the sink and washed them with her back to him. he had done it on purpose? her face darkened and she tried to keep herself positioned so that he couldn't see. how did she get so lucky? this man was so very interesting. "well I am still sorry I hit you. I honestly wasn't trying to hit you that hard...despite what you saw...." she mumbled softly as she finished washing the dishes and dried them. perhaps if she kept herself busy she wouldn't think about things she shouldn't. like the fact he has a nice and very well muscled chest. her face darkened slightly and singyo gave the equivalent of a bird snicker.
. taking a deep breath, she put the dishes away and leaned against the counter. her eyes wandered around the room and ended up settling on him. leigh's mind wandered but she couldn't help herself. this man was intriguing beyond anything she had seen before. after a few moments she caught herself staring and her face reddened. god she was going to get a fever with the amount of blushing she was doing today. moving towards the closet, she hung up the robe he had given her. she closed to doors to the training room and made sure everything was latched tight. it seemed to be getting pretty late out and she wondered if he wanted to head out soon. turning back to face him, she opened her mouth to say something but then closed it and just moved around her house straightening up things and what not. what was wrong with her? she suddenly couldn't speak. it was like something really was wrong. annoyed slightly she went back to the kitchen area and cleaned up her mess from dinner.
. "well I know it's a bit of an odd offer, but you are welcome to spend the night I have a few extra rooms. I know it's kind of late so if you want to that's fine. but if not that's ok too." leigh smiled warmly to him finally finding her voice as she finished cleaning the room. leaning against the counter, she watched him again, more like studying him actually. her warm smiled remained on her face as singyo flew over and landed on her shoulder. he nuzzled her cheek before heading off to the small house in the corner. leigh shook her head and laughed softly as she ran a hand through her hair. maybe she would get it cut. it was getting pretty long after all. she glanced over as the bottom of her hair where it was tied together. that helped prevent it from knotting to bad but there was only so much she could do before it needed to be cut. Wanderer...
[/u] ----------------------------------------- He knew that the truth wasn't exactly what she had been expecting, but, in all honesty, who kissed someone by accident? If lips came into contact with anything, it was, almost certainly, because someone had gone out of their way to make them do so. Not always, admittedly, but in a fight, it was not common at all for people to go around kissing their opponents on the cheek. It generally led to pain. As evidenced in his case, he thought, shifting slightly into a more comfortable position for his ribs. Still, she was probably the lucky one between the two of them. Whereas he was sitting there with a few broken ribs and nothing to do but think about how he had obtained them, she had stuff to work on. She could busy herself with the dishes, as she was doing now, and distract her mind from the tension that had settled in like a cloud. Despite what he had seen... Of course, that only brought the image to mind again, and he had to force it back down with as much strength as his already tired mind could muster. With a strained expression, he tore his gaze away from her and back to the window. He had to control himself.
Cahir did not know what to do as she went on, moving about and beginning to straighten things up. She left the room, and he sat there uncomfortably, pondering his next action. It would be easy to simply leave, wouldn't it? Walk out while she was away, and never see her again. He'd done it before, he was certainly capable of doing it again, by all means. Still, he... was unsure. Leaving abruptly was rude in the extreme, and there was always a chance that he would see her again. Longevity often made second encounters much more viable possibilities. He could feel his mouth beginning to open, to bid her goodbye, but it never spoke, just hung there for a moment before closing again softly. His head dropped into his hands with a heavy sigh. What was wrong with him today? This girl made him think too much, of things that he shouldn't rightly be thinking about, too. His eyes tracked her as she passed by the dining area again, until she disappeared.
As she finished, however, she actually gave him the choice. He blinked, surprised. And still, he didn't know which course of action to take. Part of him wanted to stay, but other parts were afraid to. It was a safe place, he knew that much. Still... He looked at her, only briefly, before looking away. "That's... a large decision..." He said, only a touch of humor touching his voice. "But...since I have to choose..." He blushed slightly, but brought his gaze to her eyes, holding it there firmly. "I suppose I'll stay here tonight. It's more...comfortable that anything I would probably find out there..."

. upon hearing his words, her face lit up. a slight blush came over her as she realized the thought of him being here pleased her. the female cleared her throat and ran her fingers through her hair as she tried to calm herself down. "excellent! I'll go prepare the room for you and what not. if you want to shower or anything the bathroom is down the hall that way." she pointed down a hallway off to the side of the living room. giving him a warm smile, she headed towards the bathroom. grabbing a few things, she placed them in the bathroom for him. there was a towel and an extra pair of clothing for him. brushing her hair out of her face, she headed back to the kitchen to make another cup of the healing tea. it would be ready for him when he got out of the shower.
. glancing over at singyo's little place, she smiled some more. this was nice. it had been a while since her little house felt whole and alive. yes, the students are in and out all the time but it wasn't the same. when her family had been with her, things were always so much better. ever since their passing though, this place had been quite and evenings seemed so much darker. company was something she really cherished when she got it. the female's smile faltered slightly as she placed the kettle on the stove. time would come for it to pass though. just like ever other visitor she had. sighing the female headed into the spare room after cahir had gone to the shower or clean up. to her disappointment there was absolutely nothing in the room. "great. I really guess I haven't used this room in a while."
. the female ran a hand through her hair before she got to work. it was dusty and empty. moving with fluid motions, the female moved around the room dusting and cleaning things up. it didn't take her long to get it looking like a well used room. going to the closet, she grabbed the mattress and pulled out on the ground. she then grabbed a couple of blankets and things as well. folding them, she placed them on the bed. after all that was done, she caught herself yawning and laughed. guess she was far more tired then she thought. once the room was completely set, she headed back to the kitchen. she poured his tea and poured a cup for herself as well. of course she didn't need it but it still tasted good. giving a quick look around, she climbed into the window sill and looked over over the yard. her foot dangled out and touched the water lightly and the koi swirled around it. leigh smiled holding her cup as she sipped the tea lightly.
